    What training is needed to work in a restaurant?

    All staff must receive Health & Safety and Food Hygiene training appropriate to their role - this is a legal requirement UK-wide. Depending on the position, training might include fire safety, manual handling, allergen awareness, and first aid, as well as informal on-the-job guidance documented by the employer. Continuous development in customer service, upselling, and communication skills also helps staff deliver a consistently positive guest experience.
