Hospitality inside retail is deceptively difficult.

When done poorly, cafés feel bolted on — an afterthought designed to tick a box. When done well, they become a natural extension of the brand, enhancing dwell time, loyalty, and the overall experience without shouting for attention.

That was the ambition behind Owners Club Café.

Represent approached Lumière to help bring their café concept to life across new London locations, with a clear brief: create a minimalist, refined coffee experience that felt entirely at home within Represent’s retail environments.

A Café That Feels Like the Brand

The starting point wasn’t coffee — it was identity.

Owners Club Café needed to feel unmistakably Represent: confident, stripped back, premium, and intentional. Our role was to translate those fashion-led brand values into a hospitality format that felt cohesive rather than commercial.

The result was a café concept designed to sit seamlessly within the retail space, enhancing the environment without competing with it.

Minimalism With Purpose

We curated a focused, high-quality coffee menu built around simplicity and consistency. No unnecessary complexity, no clutter — just well-executed coffee done properly.

Minimal menus demand precision. Every product has to earn its place, and every step of service must feel effortless to the guest. This approach mirrors fashion design itself: edit hard, execute well.

Technology as Design

Central to the concept was the integration of Modbar systems — chosen not as a gimmick, but as a functional design decision.

By removing visual noise from the counter, Modbar allowed the café to maintain a clean, architectural aesthetic while supporting efficient service. Technology, when chosen carefully, should disappear into the experience — not dominate it.

Training for a Flagship-Level Experience

A premium environment only works if service matches the setting.

We supported training and service development to ensure the café experience aligned with Represent’s flagship retail standards. Calm, confident, and consistent — service that feels natural within a fashion-led space rather than borrowed from traditional hospitality.

More Than a Coffee Counter

Owners Club Café isn’t just somewhere to grab a coffee. It’s part of the brand ecosystem — a space that encourages customers to slow down, stay longer, and engage more deeply with Represent.

That’s where hospitality works best: not as a standalone feature, but as a supporting layer that strengthens brand, experience, and loyalty.

We partnered with Lumiere to support us in launching our new, self-operated coffee concept in our London flagship store. From start to end, Sam was the perfect partner in the project, guiding exactly where needed, and also taking the time to understand our brand to ensure we could balance our creative with the operational complexities of this new venture. We certainly couldn’t have delivered anything to this level of ambition and quality without Lumiere along for the journey, and I’d highly recommend them to anybody.
