He set two mixology world records, won seven global mixology titles, and published five top-selling cocktail books including the World Encyclopedia of Cocktails. Alongside his hospitality training, Paul pursued a parallel career in communication skills, conducting courses and workshops in verbal and non-verbal communication techniques. His passion for communication led him to qualify at level 3 in British Sign Language, which he also teaches.
Combining his expertise in hospitality training and communication skills, Paul delivers unique workshops and masterclasses on world-class service skills both within and outside the hospitality industry. Today, Paul works with everyone from company CEOs to customer-facing staff, helping them develop skills in leadership, management, communication, rapport building, sales, service, and bartending and mixology. His notable clients include Hotel de Paris in Monaco, Waldorf Astoria in Ras al Khaimah, Bless Collection Hotels in Madrid & Ibiza, The Lansdowne Private Members Club, Divan Hotel in Istanbul, Exclusive Collection Hotels, and Ritz Carlton in Budapest. Additionally, he delivers keynote and motivational speeches at national conferences, including a TEDx talk at Chelmsford, which has garnered over 500,000 views on YouTube.
Paul’s most recent book, Ultimate Bartending, explores the psychology of delivering exceptional proactive hospitality service experiences. Though its title suggests a focus on bartending, the book addresses all areas of hospitality service across every guest touchpoint, providing insights and strategies relevant to all hospitality roles.
